FACES
For 2013/14 we decided to ask students to weave on the theme of FACES. This differs significantly from previous years in that students chose their own source material and designed their tapestries from scratch. This is a very challenging subject as we are so familiar with looking at faces every day. The weaving of a convincing face requires us to identify the basic characteristics of the face that makes it unique and to simplify them down to the absolute minimum.
