SHENEVAL describes a series of summer walks taken to explore the archaeologcal landscapes around the township of that name on the shores of Loch Brora. The tapestry describes all the elements of the landscape that you can see as you walk along the shore and climb up into the hills. This landscape interests me in particular because it has been inhabited time out of mind - it contains a chambered cairn, bronze age burials, iron age hut circles and field systems and more modern dykes from extensive sheep farms after the clearances....but no one lives there now.
