TORMORE..
... a township above the river Brora, was cleared at Whitsun in 1813. I imagined what the people saw when they looked back at their place for the last time.....wild iris at the lochside, dog roses in the walls, a crop of oats growing in the field. And beyond, up the hill to the summer pasture, the familiar skylines and the clouds.
All these tapestries are woven on tie-dyed wool warps so that when the warps are exposed, either by the insertion of digital image strips or by leaving gaps in the fabric of the weave, they blend in or actively contribute to the composition.
