Weaving process 2
I mostly work at 3.5 or 3 ends per cm., and sometimes 4 ends for small pieces. I use both cotton and woollen warps and I use leashes to speed up the weaving. I use two different weights of yarn, 2/6s and 2/12s cable twist worsted which is tightly spun, lustrous and of very high quality, although sadly it is now getting very difficult to find high quality yarns with the properties I require. I dye all my own woollen yarns using acid milling dyes for good light fastness and repeatability.
